 THE CHALLENGE

Each year, millions of dollars are spent on leadership development training, yet we still have a significant shortage of effective leadership in all areas of society.  We are feeling the impact of this lack of leadership in organizations of all sizes, for profit and non-profit, and at all levels of business and government.

Leadership affects everything!  Employees’ attitudes and their feelings about coming to work each day are affected by their perceptions of their leaders.  We need leaders who understand that people are the heart of every organization.

Without people, nothing can be achieved.  For any organization to be as successful as it can be, it must tap the power of its people.  It must unleash the talent in each individual, and apply it to create a great organization.  This is the responsibility of those in leadership positions.

 

 WHAT'S MISSING?

Today, the most significant missing ingredient in leadership is the development of trust.  Simply stated…today’s leaders are failing to build trust with those who need their direction and guidance.  As a result, followers are reluctant to follow, and in many instances they refuse to follow.

A high level of trust is critical to leadership effectiveness.  Yet most leaders fail to build trust, and many don’t know how to build trustdespite all the leadership development training they have been given.

The missing piece in the leadership development puzzle is the understanding that being trustworthy does not mean you will be successful inbuilding trust. Most leaders are trustworthyin an honest, ethical, and moral sense—yet they continue to diminish the trustthat employees and customers have for them and the company.

Leaders need to know how to build trust.  They need to consistently model the specific behaviors that build trust, because intentions do not build trust!

The Leadership Development Processs™ is designed to provide those in leadership positions with the skills and the tools they will need to transform their culture, and emotionally connect employees with the organization.  

 

 HOW WE CAN HELP YOU 

As an Associate of the Integro Leadership Institute, HPower & Associates, LLCemploys the Leadership Development Process™ to work with leaders in developing the competencies to build trust and develop employees.

The Leadership Development Process is comprised of 4 distinct elements:

  1. Measurement: Using the Strategic Alignment Survey to measure four key areas that impact the leader’s ability to gain employee alignment and engagement, and the Leadership Development Assessment to a) identify individual development needs, b) establish specific development objectives and c) provide feedback to assess competency development.              
  2. Learning Modules:  A series of five 2-day learning modules focused on building trust, coaching and counseling skills, increasing employee engagement and commitment, building a high performing team, and shared leadership.              
  3. Distributive Learning Elements:  An application process to ensure the principles, concepts, and theories presented and processed in the respective Learning Modules are brought to immediate practice in the work place.              
  4. Personal Development Coaching:  One-on-one coaching provided to each participant throughout the process to support achievement of individual development goals.
